Vinyl Decals and Lettering
Below are the steps on how to apply vinyl decals on your car, window, or other smooth clean surface. Looking to install other types stickers and decals? Check out our Stickers 101 guide.
1 CLEAN YOUR SURFACE
2 RUB THE SURFACE OF YOUR DECAL
Lay the decal down and rub over the graphic/surface with a squeegee or credit card. Then flip your decal over and rub the back side as well. This step is essential to make sure all of the pieces peel up with the transfer tape.
3 PEEL OFF BACKING FROM DECAL
Flip over and carefully peel off the backing from the decal and transfer tape. If any part of the graphic is not attaching to the transfer tape, lay that part back down and press over the backing with your finger or credit card to get it to stick. Then peel the backing up again.
4 APPLY DECAL TO YOUR CLEAN SMOOTH SURFACE
Place your decal on your clean and dry surface. Use your squeegee or credit card to rub and smooth the decal onto the surface. Work from the center of the decal to the outside.
5 REMOVE THE TRANSFER TAPE
Peel off the transfer tape starting from the corner. Only the decal should remain.
